During his time at UC Berkeley, he was awarded three grants to engage in research on intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. His research focused primarily on the psycho-motivational forces of change with a strong emphasis on values-based motivation. This work culminated into a thesis of which he received Highest Honors and the development of a UC Berkeley course on the psychology of behavior change and health. It is with the knowledge gained over the years that Berké has been able to provide successful services that truly work to tap at the hearts of the individuals within any organization to cultivate genuine and vibrant cultures that are human-centric and internally motivated.

Born in Detroit, Michigan, and raised in Southern California, his mother, a first generation Ethiopian and his father a kid from Detroit, Berké has experienced many diverse environments since his childhood. This theme of diversity has followed him throughout his life. His innate sense for adventure has led him to create a life that encapsulates as many lives as possible in one. Whether he’s serving as a life coach or jamming on his favorite guitar at a coffee shop, Berké always finds a way to touch people's lives for the better.
